Jack Russell Terrier – An
Introduction
The Russell Terrier is a companion, hunt, quarry,
and racing dog predominantly white in color .They have almost an
insatiable energy to hunt, quarry underground. The Russell Terriers
breed was derived from the reverend John Russell’s Fox Terriers. The
size (25cm to 30.5cm), height, shape (rectangular) differentiate the
Jack Russell Terriers from other hunting dogs. The Russell Terriers or
originated in England with Australia being defined as the country of
development.
Russell Terrier is a breed of dog with excellent
qualities such as loyalty, intelligence. They have great working
capabilities and they also forma great companion. They are adept in
killing Rodents in your living room, hunting fox from the farm even from
underground. They can smell, identify, chase and kill. Their behavior
will amuse and entertain you. They are very assertive with boundless
energy, which make them both a bliss and bane.
